Be Competitive for a Good Cause
Fancy a footie? Bring your shin guards and soccer shoes along to Montreal and have a little fun at the fourth annual GIGSE charity event! All donations are contributed to the Gordon House Association a unique, internet-based problem gambling helpline. This one of a kind service offers help to both self-identified compulsive gamblers as well as family members. They’ve taken the initiative themselves to go truly global and have opened a multi lingual function with 23 languages at present. They really deserve our support. Contact Sue to make a pledge.
What: An Indoor Co-ed Football (soccer) Tournament
Who: Open to all attendees to form company teams or if you are attending on your own, feel free to contact us and we will join you with another team. A special invitation goes out to the ladies in the industry to play since each team must field a woman during the entire game to qualify.
Where: At the Soccercomplexe (15 minutes from the Palais)
When: 3PM-5PM on Monday, June 4
Why: It's a great way to get some very informal networking, have a bit of fun before the start of the event and a perfect time to run off the jet lag.
River City Group organized a similar tournament at ICEi earlier in the year, and players came from companies like Cryptologic, Games Marketing, igaming Business, ATE and many more.
Teams are forming now so contact Chris Krafcik if you’d like to play.
"Silent Auction"
Do you have something unique that you could contribute? All donated items will be auctioned off and proceeds go to Gordon House Association. In the past, silent auction items have included such things as: legal services, hosting services, sports paraphernalia, artwork, fraud screening services, jewelry, an iPod, and vacation lodging. And if you've never attended a silent auction, just let us know and we'll educate you.
Please contact Rosalee Echele, our Auction Coordinator, for more details.
Thank You to All Who Have Donated
I-gaming companies have stepped up and donated over $208,000 to date, contributing to the
efforts of such beneficiaries as Gordon House and California Council on Problem Gambling.
