Cory Aronovitz is the founder of the Casino Law Group where he concentrates in the area of casino and gaming law. He represents riverboat casinos, Indian casinos, Internet casinos and casino service industries including manufacturers and distributors of gaming related equipment. His practice involves appearing before regulatory agencies related to licensing and game approvals, litigation on behalf of the casino industry and providing creative solutions to client needs.
Cory is a frequent writer and speaker on various topics related to gaming including contributing co-author to Internet Gambling Report VI; Internet Gambling Report V; International Casino Law third edition; Gambling Public Policies and Social Sciences; and Casino Gaming: Policy, Economics and Regulation; and panelist at the Chapman Law School Gaming Law Symposium and IMGL "Cross-Board Issues in Gaming" seminar.

Bob Blumenfeld is a founding partner of Mendel-Blumenfeld, a Texas-based firm that represents leading global remote gambling companies and their service providers, as well as providing expertise and public speaking on online gambling issues. Mr. Blumenfeld's expertise in remote gambling began in the late 1990s when he and his partner, Mark Mendel, began representing prominent entrants into the online sports book industry. Kenneth Dreifach joins the New York law firm Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal as Partner in May 2006.
Until April 2006, Mr. Dreifach was Chief of New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer’s Internet Bureau. The Bureau coordinates statewide law enforcement efforts regarding online consumer fraud, privacy, securities trading, gambling, access for the disabled, and other Internet-related issues.
Before joining the Attorney General’s office, Mr. Dreifach practiced complex commercial litigation in New York City, first at Hughes Hubbard & Reed and then at Morrison & Foerster. He has served as Judicial Clerk to Judge Phyllis Kravitch of the U .S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, as well as for District Judge William O. Bertelsman of the Eastern District of Kentucky.
Mr. Dreifach is a graduate of Wesleyan University (Class of 1987) and the New York University School of Law (Class of 1991). Among his affiliations, he is a member of the Bar Association of the City of New York, where he has served on the Civil Rights Committee (1996-1999) the State Legislation Committee (1999 - 2002) and the Information Technology Committee (present). He is on the Advisory Board of the Electronic Commerce & Law Reporter, and has served as the Attorney General’s representative on the NAAG Internet Law Committee.

He is also the CEO of TankSoft Inc., a provider of mahjong technology. Paul Lauzon is vice president and managing director of Ipsos’ lottery and gaming group. For the past nine years with Ipsos, Paul has been responsible for a variety of customized quantitative research programs for various state and provincial lotteries in as well as a number of online gambling clients. Mr. Lazarus received his law degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1965, was admitted to the Quebec Bar of the Province of Quebec on January 16th, 1967, and founded the law firm of LAZARUS, CHARBONNEAU, where he has practiced law since 1967. He is a Governor of the Bar of the Province of Quebec.
He has been a practicing gaming Attorney and has acted as legal counsel to approximately twenty (20) casino properties and gaming companies located in Canada, Aruba, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Atlantic City, New Jersey and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mr. Lazarus is the only Canadian gaming lawyer who has been appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys ("I.A.G.A."), based in Las Vegas, Nevada, since September of 1993, was named "General Counsel" of IAGA in November, 2001, and President of "IAGA" in 2004 – 2005. Robin Le Prevost, a seasoned Business Development Manager was born and bred in Guernsey one of the British Channel Islands. Having spent a significant part of his early working life living and working in both the UK and France, Robin returned to the Channel Islands to work in the booming finance industry. Feeling the need to stretch himself in the wider world of commerce Robin then spent the next several years working with two new and highly successful business start-ups. Michael Lipton established the firm of Elkind & Lipton LLP in 1970 where he is Senior Partner and Chair of the firm’s Gaming Law Practice Group. He has served as senior counsel on several gaming law matters including advising on Requests for Proposals from government to operate commercial and charitable casinos and advising applicants who seek registration with the various Gaming Commissions throughout Canada. Having graduated in Law from the University of Dundee (UK) in 2002 and from the University of Leiden (the Netherlands) with a LL.M in European Community Law (cum laude) Alan proceeded to complete an internship within the Directorate General Internal Market and Services of the European Commission. Leigh Nissim joined St. Minver in June 2005 as Managing Director of St Minver (UK), responsible for growing the profitability of the UK business and developing relationships with key partners, including Yahoo!, Virgin, Littlewoods, InterCasino and Poker Heaven. He is now responsible for sales and marketing account management for St Minver across Europe. In the last 3 years, Leigh has played a key role in growing the revenue and profitability of St Minver to the point that it was acquired by GTECH, the global lottery services provider, in April 2008.
This growth has been achieved through expansion in to new European markets, cutting-edge CRM, the launches of notable new partners including Yahoo! Poker and the introduction of new games with Orbis, Parlay and other providers. He has also been responsible for relaunching St Minver’s casino product, built and relocated the team to central London, introduced new email marketing software and migrated the business’ websites to a new content management system.
Before St Minver he was the Chief Operating Officer of Vitesse Media Plc, an AIM listed publishing company. In this role he oversaw a strong increase in sales and was directly responsible for the integration of an acquired events company and relaunching the company's online portfolio of websites.
Prior to this he was CEO of BusinessesForSale.com where he raised £1.7m of seed capital in February 2000. Leigh continued to build the business to deliver sustained profitability. This was achieved through paid-for online subscription services in the UK and US, the launch of FranchiseSales.com, paid events and white label partnerships with FT.com, ThisIsMoney, TimesOnline, the Telegraph and other quality business websites. His past experience includes management consultancy with Deloitte & Touche and a Corporate Finance Executive with Lloyds' of London. He is also the non-executive Chairman of WorkingMums.co.uk. |

Henrik is educated at the University of Copenhagen, and holds an LL.M. in international business law from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.
Before Henrik started with LETT, he worked with Danders & More and Magnusson Law Firm in Copenhagen for several years. Henrik has also worked internationally, as he started his career working for Höller Rechtsanwälte in Bonn, Germany.
Because of his background and through advising international and in particular German companies on various issues of commercial and corporate law, Henrik is very internationally focused, and has a great deal of experience with the challenges, legal as well as cultural and commercial, an international business faces when starting up in an new jurisdiction. Henrik participated as a student in the 8th Wilhelm C. Professor I. Nelson Rose is an internationally known scholar, author and public speaker, and is recognized as one of the world's leading experts on gaming law.
Prof. Rose is best known for his internationally syndicated column and 1986 landmark book, "GAMBLING AND THE LAW®." He is the co-author of INTERNET GAMING LAW, BLACKJACK AND THE LAW, and the first casebook on the subject, GAMING LAW: CASES AND MATERIALS (LexisNexis). Prof. Rose is co-editor-in-chief of the Gaming Law Review.
Harvard Law School educated, Prof. Rose is a consultant to governments and industry. He has testified as an expert witness in administrative, civil and criminal cases throughout the United States, in Australia and New Zealand, including the first NAFTA tribunal on gaming issues. Prof. Rose has acted as a consultant to major law firms, international corporations, licensed casinos, Indian tribes, and local, state and national governments, including the province of Ontario, the states of Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, Texas, and the federal governments of Canada, Mexico and the United States.
With the rising interest in gambling throughout the world, Prof. Rose has addressed such diverse groups as the National Conference of State Legislatures, Congress of State Lotteries of Europe and the National Academy of Sciences. Linda J. Shorey has been a partner with Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis LLP since 1997. Prior to joining K&L Gates in 1989, Shorey was the administrative law clerk to Judge Madeline Paladino of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, a mid-level appellate court that hears appeals and original jurisdiction matters involving state government. Her practice is focused on Internet gaming and state and federal constitutional law. For example, in October 2006, she and two other K&L Gates partners were the presenters at a briefing in London, co-sponsored by the World Online Gaming Report and K&L Gates, third party risk in connection with services provided to Internet gaming companies that accept or receive bets or wagers from US-based persons. After graduating from Stanford University, John Williams went on to Boalt Hall School of Law, and the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley receiving a Jurist Doctorate degree and an MBA simultaneously.
John began his business career at Wilson, Sonsini a leading global law firm in Palo Alto, California. At Wilson, Sonsini, John joined the New Ventures Liaison Group and assisted in the development of their New Media Practice. He developed and maintained a nation-wide industry information database, constructing strategic alliances with New Media service providers in the technology and entertainment industries, and executing intellectual property-related agreements for software and technology licensing.
In 1995, John took a calculated risk on the Internet, directing business development efforts for two web development and strategic consulting companies. While at these companies he developed a licensing platform for proprietary technology products, and turned one failing organization from 201K in revenue to $2.5M in revenue in nine months. This company eventually sold for $17M. In 1998, John joined iPin structuring strategic partnerships with Mattel, MP3.com, Excite, and AT&T, to name a few. At iPin, he developed the company’s capital formation strategy raising $17M from financial institutions and individual private equity investors.
As Senior Vice President, Visa International (e-Visa) ,the world’s leading payments brand and the largest payment system worldwide John was responsible for the development and implementation of all international e-commerce strategies, all worldwide E-Visa initiatives involving User Authentication, Fraud and Risk Management Wireless Payments and Alternative Payment Mechanisms. He was also an active board member for five Visa investment concerns, and served as internal liaison to the Visa Strategic Investment Unit.
Today, John is CEO of Securus Consulting Group a software development company whose primary focus is the development of cutting-edge payment processing systems.

Andre Wilsenach has been the CEO of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, since 2002. This is an independent and non-political regulatory authority in the Channel Islands, established to license and regulate interactive gaming and betting in Alderney.
He is also rendering advice and support services to the Guernsey Gambling Control Commission, which is a separate body established to license and regulate terrestrial casino gaming in Guernsey.
Andre is an economist by training, and worked for the Africa Institute of South Africa, the Development Bank of Southern Africa and Ernst &Young, South Africa from 1982 to 1994.
In 1994, he was appointed as a member of the Commission that investigated and recommended the legalisation of gambling in South Africa.

Graham Wood has been involved in the international betting and gaming market for 15 years. He has worked with some of the key players in the business both in the UK and overseas, was responsible for creating the new sports betting product in Italy in his time as consultant to the italian operator SNAI in 1998, and previously had established the first CTD - the name given to the agencies transmitting bets overseas - in Bologna, Italy in 1994 when he was International Marketing Manager for pioneering cross-border bookmaker SSP.
Graham Wood is presently a consultant specialising in market entry and market development particularly in Italy and his clients past and present include Betfair, Bet365, Ladbrokes, Pianeta Scommesse, Paradisebet (now rebranded 1128) and SNAI Servizi. He was also a director with pioneering bookmaker Victor Chandler for a number of years and ran his own specialist betting software business.
