Charity Event
River City Group and Gordon House would like to sincerely thank all of the cash and Silent Auction donors that participated in raising money to further responsible gambling practices via the GIGSE Charity Event. We raised US $124,000 in cash pledges and another US $9000 in Silent Auction bids to bring our 2006 Charity Donation total to US $133,000! Great job everyone!

Continuing to build on two successful years' of fundraising of over US $ 75,000 for worthy causes, the River City Group is putting together ideas for another "unique" and fun event as part of the Charity Event to both entertain and raise funds for a worthy industry beneficiary that supports responsible gaming efforts on an international level.

GIGSE 2006 has designated Gordon House, based in the United Kingdom, as this year's recipient of our industry fundraising efforts. Gordon House is a provider of both the GamAid and GamStop programs and has over 30 years' experience in providing specialized support and treatment to acutely addicted gamblers. |

Donate Silent Auction Items
Again the 2006 Charity Event will include a "Silent Auction" of donated items in the Exhibit Hall. All registered attendees will have the opportunity to bid on the items with the proceeds going to Gordon House.
If you have a unique item, such as use of a vacation home for a week, etc, please contact Rosalee Echele, our Auction Coordinator, for more details. And if you've never attended a Silent Auction, just let us know and we'll educate you.

- One (1) Year subscription for ieSnare Fraud Screening donated by iovation Inc. and valued at US $30,000 to US $250,000 depending on volume.
- 3 Day/2 Night stay at Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel donated by Stations Casino valued at US $150.
- Isle of Man "souvenir pack" including Celtic jewelry donated by MannBenhamn Limited Isle of Man Commercial Lawyers valued at US $120.

Details of the Velcro Drag Racing Grudge Match-Ups
All delegates of GIGSE will be given $1000 of play money with which to "bet" on their favorite to win each Grudge Match-Up. On Thursday at 4:00 pm, part of the exhibit hall will transform into a velcro racing track and participants will don velcro boots and race against each other. There will be "celebrity" bookies to make odds and attend to the brackets for the races. This year's celebrity bookies are Melvyn Lenzan, Trading Director of Easybets and grudge match veteran, Alan Weinrib who will be representing Sportsspread.com.
